Message	4000 pound weight for any long period of time, especially one designed by Bose. I would be willing to bet it is some what fluid based, Bose does not really say what it is other than it's electromagnetic motor. I would want to see a cut away of it. I would never trust anything from Bose. Every Bose product I have ever purchased/had failed
